Reservations & Deposits

Whitewater Rafting – More than 30 days prior to your trip a non-refundable deposit of 30% of your trip fare is required to secure your reservation. Within 30 days full payment is required. Please make checks payable to Mother Lode River Trips, Ltd.

Reservations made online incur processing (6%) and credit card fees (1.9%). If you wish to pay directly you may call our office with a credit card number. Fees may still apply.

Challenge Ropes and Educational Programs – A nonrefundable deposit of 30% of trip cost is required to secure your reservation. Trip balance is due 30 days prior to program date.

Confirmation

As soon as you’ve made your deposit, your trip confirmation will be emailed to you and will contain directions to our facility, a recommended packing lists and a copy of our release form.

Liability

While we do our best to assure your safety while you are with us, we assume no responsibility for injury to participants, emergency evacuation costs, loss of personal property, or time or expense which you may incur. All participants are required to sign a liability release prior to the start of the trip.

Cancellations

Update: February 24, 2022

Mother Lode requires notification of cancellation at least 30 days prior to the trip/program start date. This notification must be in writing. Cancellations with notification made 30 days or more in advance may receive credit toward a future trip/program within the same season of operation, subject to availability. Alternatively, participants may substitute another qualified person for themselves if desired.

Non-Performance

Mother Lode River Trips makes every effort to run all trips as scheduled. However, we reserve the right to cancel a trip if necessary due to weather conditions, water fluctuations or other factors beyond our control. Should such a cancellation be necessary your money will be fully credited toward another trip.

River Access Fees

Each guest will be charged a $9/person for federal, state and local access fees to the river. This fee will be charged on a per guest/per river day basis.

Gratuities

We are often asked if it is appropriate to tip your guide; yes, it is. Our guides are compensated for their services. However, if you feel that your guide did an outstanding job, a tip is a great way of showing your appreciation.
