California Family Float Trips:
Fun and Easy Class I-II Whitewater

Getting ready to go raftingHuck Finn was right: on a hot summer day there's nothing to match the cool peace and freedom of floating down the river on a raft. Kids getting too hot? Splash time! Older children easily bored? See who can spot a hawk or merganser; look for a turtle sunning itself on a log. Watch the stones on the river bottom seem to move swiftly by as you glide over them, and then wake up in time to paddle through the easy rapids.

Choose from three fun and easy stretches of river, all within an hour of Sacramento or 3-4 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area. Relax and enjoy yourselves on a one-day family float trip down an easy run, or stay the night in our beautiful riverside campground and run the river two days in a row.
